High-Precision Robot Calibration Using ISIOS Proprietary Measurement Technology
When calibrating with the ISIOS Laser Sensor System, the accuracy of the industrial robot is measured using patented Laser Sensor technology developed specifically for robot calibration. Measurements are performed at carefully selected positions and orientations within the relevant workspace. The deviations measured between target and actual poses are used to identify the robot parameters that are crucial to accuracy.
ISIOS uses these results to create a precise mathematical robot model that can account for additional influencing factors alongside the basic kinematic parameters. Measurement series are adapted to the specific robot cell and optimised to account for obstacles, workspace and installation geometry.
